Shri H.A.Morrais, Superintendent of Customs (Mumbai) is no more ...

Shri H.A.Morrais, Superintendent of Customs (Preventive), Mumbai passed away on 27-04-2008. Shri Morrais died due to heart attack. Shri Morrais, born on 14th August, 1950, joined the Preventive Service as an Officer in Mumbai Custom House on the 28th November, 1974. He was promoted as a Superintendent of Customs (Preventive) on the 30th September, 1996. He would have been promoted as Assistant Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise soon.

Shri Morrais was an active member of the Association of the Superintendents of Customs, Mumbai and was a sportsman at heart. The Federation mourns the untimely death of Shri Morrais and conveys its heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.

Shri N.B.Shaikh, Superintendent of Customs (Mumbai) passed away ...

Shri N.B.Shaikh, Superintendent of Customs (Preventive), Mumbai passes away on 24-04-2008. Shri Shaikh died due to a renal failure. Shri Shaikh, born on 1st January, 1953, joined the Service as a Preventive Officer in Mumbai Customs on the 28th May, 1975. He was promoted as a Superintendent of Customs (Preventive) on the 30th September, 1996. He was at the third position for promotion to the next grade i.e. Assistant Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise.

Death of Shri Shaikh, a very active member of the Association of the Superintendents of Customs, Mumbai, is a great loss to the fraternity and the Department. The Federation conveys its sincere sympathies to the grieving family.

Shri M.N.Qureshi, Superintendent of Customs (Mumbai) passes away ...

Shri M.N.Qureshi, Superintendent of Customs (Preventive), Mumbai breathed his last on 06-03-2008. Shri Qureshi who was undergoing treatment at the Nanawati Hospital, Vile Parle, Mumbai, died due to heart ailment. Shri Qureshi, born on 18th May, 1952, joined the service as a Preventive Officer in Mumbai Custom House on the 2nd September, 1976 was promoted as a Superintendent of Customs on the 30th September, 1996. He would have become an Assistant Commissioner in the near future.

Shri Qureshi was a member of the Association of the Superintendents of Customs, Mumbai from its inception. Shri Qureshi was a source of profound knowledge and inspiration for others to work for the department in the right direction. The Federation mourns the untimely demise and pays tribute to the departed soul and conveys its sympathies to the bereaved family.
