Due amendment in the Customs & Central Excise Service Gr A Recruitment Rules to remove the unjust ratio of promotion for the Superintendents of Customs vis-à-vis the Appraisers.

Provisions to be made in the Transfer Policy for posting Asst. Commissioners promoted from Superintendents of Customs within the Zone for those having service of more than 5 years and within the same station or native place on option for those having service of 5 years or less.

Urgent preparation of All India Seniority List of the Superintendents of Customs.

Release of the 102 backlog vacancies due to Superintendents of Customs immediately.
